The journey
Or the immersion into the fantastic
Keywords:
archetype, disruption, fantastic, sinisterAbstract
Every journey involves, in some way or another, the formation of a tale; journey and narration get tangled, they interlace with each other. Trajectory, experience, anticipation, surprise, initiation, place, and time turn out common to both terms. The journey not only implies a movement in space, the experience in and of a travel, but also an initiation, and as such, the possibility of crossing the limits of one world to another, from one dimension to another. The journey, then, is a door and a change of state. In “El atajo”, by Adolfo Bioy Casares, an instance for those possibilities opens.
